Lettering, Transcription, Words Words Words
Speaking of coziness and making things and my happy place, I should make some soups. And savory pies. Mmmmmm.
Tea I’m Drinking
I’M SO TIRED. But I wrote a lot of this in little bits over the week, so let’s see, maybe I can still post tonight… Um, again not drinking tea at the moment, though. Too bad.
What I’m Reading
On Wednesday I stayed up too late in part because I was having so much fun with the exercises and projects in this book. So much fun. With my daughter’s brush pens. (Surprise! These markers of yours aren’t markers after all! They’re much cooler than that! And now Mama’s gonna take, I mean, make sure you don’t misplace the ones that still have lots of ink and work great!)
What’s on My Spinning Wheel
Where did my scissors go? I finally finished that plying ball, but I always run out of one single before the other, I need to cut the other one… Yeah, not a ton of fast progress going on here at the moment. But that’s okay.
There. The plying ball/skein/thing is done, time to spin the plies together to make yarn. Soon.
What’s on My Needles
And there was that one stockinette stitch swatch I was going to knit, wasn’t there? “Well maybe I should do that, then!”
Ah, here we go. This is not the best picture ever, but I’ve about finished this swatch.
My Life Outside of the Felt Comfort Shop
Studying transcription. Which I’m also enjoying! At the moment I’m in the “time-saving tools” part of the course. Hey, I wonder… Goes to look at Substack’s current text editor setup. No, but there are text expander Chrome extensions… Magical. That’s the one she linked to. Heh, apparently I’m called “Marcy null” over there.
[inaudible]
Ha! That is a laugh of satisfaction. Mmmm.
Oh hey! I can use this anywhere online. That means even in Word’s free online version, even though I can’t use the autocorrect workaround as a text expander in their free version. Score.
Transcription. Ha again! (Typed that with transcription, I mean, with the letters, T-S-C-P-N. But not capitalized.)
Speaking of which, 😁. (S-W-C-H.) 😁 (;-G-R-N) Hee hee hee. Yeah, I’m kind of easily amused. “Blessed are those who can laugh at themselves” and all that. 😊
What Else I’m Writing
Last Sunday I wrote that “Words Are Hard.” They may be even harder tomorrow, we’ll see. 🤷♀️
Your Turn
How about you, how are you doing? If you’re feeling tired and rundown, I feel you. Hang in there. ❤
Happy Weekend!
